Saltash Music, Speech & Drama Festival

Held annually during the last week of January and the first week of February at the Wesley Methodist Church, this competition festival for amateur performers of all age-groups was founded in 1990. There are classes for individuals and for groups, for poetry, prose, recital, bible reading, drama, singing, and instrumental music from classical to jazz. A Gala Concert, featuring performances by high-scorers from a selection of classes, and the presentation of cups and trophies, is held at the end of the fortnight. Members of the public are welcome (for a small entry fee) to come and enjoy morning, afternoon, or evening sessions throughout the two weeks of the Festival, and especially the Gala Concert.

Saltash May Fair

Continuing an 800-year tradition, the modern Saltash May Fair takes place every May Bank Holiday weekend. This two-day event starts on the Saturday in a traffic-free Fore Street with a parade, an arena where local and national talent show what they can do, street stalls, sideshows, competitions, and other activities. Sunday is the turn of the more energetic, with the Fun Run around a scenic route in the Saltash area, and (for the truly dedicated) the Saltash Half Marathon.

Forder Summer Fete

Held every year at Forder on the village green, this traditional afternoon event includes boat races (weather and tide permitting), live music by Saltash Town Band, a raffle, sideshows, a barbecue and other refreshments, as well as various stalls.

See the Forder Community and Conservation Association website for the date and time of their next Summer Fete.

Saltash Regatta

Founded in 1835, this annual two-day event held at Saltash Waterside and on the Tamar offers Championship Gig Racing and other boat races, a wide range of market stalls and food vendors to suit all tastes and budgets, quirky and interesting craft stalls, displays and exhibitions, street entertainers and live music, a fun-fair, and more.

The Saltash Regatta 2016 is on Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th of June.

St Nicholas & St Faith Christmas Tree Festival

The Christmas Tree Festival is a fortnight-long event beginning on the last Saturday in November each year. During this time the interior of the church is filled with lit and decorated Christmas trees made from a variety of materials by local businesses, schools, and other groups. There is a nominal entrance fee which helps to cover costs.

The 10th Annual Christmas Tree Festival takes place from Saturday the 26th of November to Friday the 9th of December 2016.

Saltash Christmas Festival

Launched in 2012, and always held on the first Saturday in December, the Saltash Christmas Festival features stalls and entertainment in a traffic-free Fore Street throughout the day, followed by the annual Civic Carol Service held by torchlight in Victoria Gardens at the top of Fore Street, then the switching on of the town's Christmas Lights, and a children's lantern parade.

The Saltash Christmas Festival 2016 is on Saturday the 3rd of December from 8am to 8pm.

Forder Carol Service

The Vicar of St Stephens Church presides every year over this outdoor evening service held at Forder.

The 50th Forder Carol Service is on Saturday the 10th of December 2016, starting at 6.30pm.

For details of the many other, smaller, events in Saltash, see Saltash Town Council's calendar of events.
